Max Gould (Owner / Artist) specializes in black and gray realism.
He opened Seraphim in 2026 once he moved back to Maine after graduating from Stetson University with his BS in Health Science and apprenticing in DeLand, Florida.
To him, tattooing is a blend of history, science, and artistry. He feels it is a privilege and an honor that his clients trust him with their art, their skin, and their stories.

Our studio is open by appointments only, so walk-in tattoos are not available. Please get in contact with us to schedule an appointment for your piece.
The base price for a tattoo of any size is $75, and the hourly rate is $150. Every tattoo is different, so the final price will be at the artist's discretion.
Yes! A down payment of $150 is expected to secure the date of your tattoo. Down payments are nonrefundable. Rescheduling must be done 24 hours before your appointment, otherwise your down payment is forfeit.
Please make sure the skin you are planning to get tattooed is clean and undamaged. It is also very important that you have had something to eat and drink within 6 hours of your appointment.
Tattoos on average take around two to three weeks to fully heal, but everyone's body is different. Make sure to take proper care of your tattoo to accelerate healing and avoid infection.
It's important to remember that tattoos are essentially really pretty wounds and should be treated accordingly. Every client leaves their session with an aftercare goodie bag with instructions, but in case you lose yours, you can find a copy here. Keep it clean, moisturized, and out of the sun, and you should be alright.
Oh, for sure. Anyone who tells you otherwise is just trying to be a tough guy. How much it hurts varies based on the area you plan on getting your tattoo - any area that's skin on bone hurts the most, like the ribcage. I slept through my first tattoo, but I've also struggled through some. At the end of the day, it depends on your pain tolerance.
